On Monday, October 26th the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“PICPA”) held its annual divorce Conference in Montgomery County, PA. The full day line-up included panels that highlighted areas of intersection between Tax and Family Law as well as immerging issues and new developments.
Diana C. Schimmel, Esquire was invited to speak on a two-person panel on the topic of same-sex equality. The talk examined what divorce now means in PA and across the country in light of the recent Super Court decision in Obergefell v. Hodges.
Diana’s co-panelist was highly decorated CPA, David H. Glusman. A principle at Marcum. Together, they explored what the new ruling meant and how to work interdisciplinarily.
