Inc. magazine has named Petrelli Previtera, LLC #2703 on its 2019 Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment: its independent small businesses. As an Inc. 5000 honoree, the firm joins the ranks of Microsoft, Dell, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, and others.
Since 1982, the Inc. 5000 list has honored companies’ extraordinary journeys. The list is the most prestigious honor for growing private businesses and business leaders. Companies on the 2019 Inc. 5000 are listed on Inc.com.
Methodology
To qualify for Inc. 5000, companies must have been established and generating revenue by March 31, 2015. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent — not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies — as of December 31, 2018. The minimum revenue required for 2015 is $100,000. The minimum for 2018 is $2 million. Inc.’s September issue features the top 500 companies on the list.
‘Astounding’ Three-Year Growth
Honorees are very competitive within their markets. Inc. noted that this year’s list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists. Companies on the 2019 list achieved an astounding three-year average growth of 454 percent and a median rate of 157 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $237.7 billion in 2018, accounting for 1,216,308 jobs over the past three years.
