Meet Pennsylvania Family Law Attorney Russell J. Manning
Russell Manning is a family law attorney at Petrelli Previtera, LLC, where he represents clients in divorce, custody, support, and post judgment matters throughout Pennsylvania. With more than twelve years of experience practicing family law, Russell is known for combining a calm, steady approach with realistic legal guidance that helps clients make informed decisions during difficult moments.
Russell works closely with clients to help them understand not only what the law allows, but what is likely to happen in practice. He places a strong emphasis on managing expectations early in a case, explaining how judges tend to view certain issues and what outcomes are realistically achievable. Clients often appreciate his straightforward communication style and his ability to explain complex legal issues in clear, practical terms.
While Russell avoids unnecessary litigation when possible, he is fully prepared to advocate for his clients in court when a case requires it. He approaches each matter strategically, helping clients weigh the emotional and financial costs of litigation against the potential benefits, and tailoring his approach to fit the specific needs of each family.
Russell earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School and his Bachelor of Arts in History from Holy Family University. He is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Earlier in his career, Russell clerked for the Honorable James M. McMaster of the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas and later served as the Assistant District Director for Pennsylvania State Senator Robert M. Tomlinson, experiences that continue to shape his perspective and professionalism.
Russell has been recognized by the Bucks County Bar Association for his pro bono work, particularly for his dedication to handling Protection from Abuse cases. He received this recognition for several consecutive years, including 2020 and 2021, reflecting his commitment to serving individuals facing urgent and challenging circumstances.
Outside of his legal practice, Russell remains closely connected to his community. He has lived in Southern Bucks County his entire life and currently resides in Langhorne with his wife and two children, less than ten miles from where he grew up. He enjoys Civil War reenactments and fencing, interests that reflect his lifelong passion for history and competitive pursuits.
