Estate Planning & Probate Attorney | Pennsylvania and New Jersey

Estate Planning Attorney Marie Maney, Esq.Marie A. Maney is an estate planning and probate attorney with Petrelli Previtera, LLC, serving clients across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. With nearly three decades of legal experience and hundreds of estate matters handled in recent years alone, Marie brings compassion, clarity, and deep legal knowledge to every client relationship. Her practice focuses on wills, powers of attorney, living wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, guardianships, probate, estate administration, and estate litigation.

Marie understands firsthand how overwhelming the legal process can feel during times of grief. After caring for her mother during a terminal illness and experiencing the emotional and financial stress of settling her estate without a will, Marie transitioned from insurance defense litigation to estate law. This personal journey continues to fuel her commitment to helping families plan with confidence and avoid costly mistakes.

Clients appreciate Marie’s empathetic listening and practical guidance. She helps them create comprehensive, customized plans that meet their goals whether it’s protecting a loved one with special needs, avoiding probate, planning for Medicaid eligibility, or addressing blended family concerns. When challenges arise, Marie’s litigation experience enables her to guide clients through contested wills, guardianship disputes, or probate issues with calm determination.

Marie frequently presents on estate planning and elder law topics to assisted living communities, caregiving organizations, and professionals. Her past talks have addressed Estate Planning 101, caregiver burnout, Medicaid misconceptions, LGBTQ+ elder planning, and essential legal documents for aging populations. She also serves as an adjunct professor at St. Joseph’s University’s Haab School of Business teaching the Legal Environment of Business. Marie also instructed students in the Legal Studies program at Peirce College.

Marie grew up near Scranton, PA, and now lives in South Jersey with her husband and two sons. As an active member of her local community, she volunteers with her church, youth sports programs, and her children’s schools. She is also a proud supporter of Samaritan Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Foundation organizations that played a meaningful role in the care of her loved ones.

Marie brings empathy and real-world perspective to her legal practice. She is available by appointment to assist clients across Pennsylvania and New Jersey with estate planning, probate, and estate administration.
